Coronavirus Update
The state, city and county have deemed veterinary hospitals as essential services, meaning HPH can continue to serve our guests and patients during this difficult and unprecedented time. Highland Pet Hospital remains open with our normal hours- and we are committed to safely serving our guests and the patients in our community.
To maintain safe distances and provide a safe environment for our guests and dedicated team members, we are implementing several new safety protocols. These new protocols will remain in effect until the pandemic has subsided and are subject to modification as needed. We appreciate your patience and understanding so we can continue to provide outstanding care for your pet, and continue to provide you with the best service possible during this difficult time.
Introducing Carside Concierge Service
We are prohibiting access to the public areas of the hospital, including the lobby/reception areas and exam rooms so we can maintain safe distances as advised by the CDC. We realize that this is not an ideal situation, and we thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.
Before you arrive for your appointment, please fill out a patient history questionnaire- which is available on our website. By filling this out in advance of your visit, it will help us best serve you- and save you time. It is an online form, meaning you don’t need to print it or bring it with you. It will be sent to us electronically- so please fill it out prior to your arrival and submit it through the website. https://www.highlandpethospital.net/pet-history-form/
If you are coming in for a breeding, or breeding consultation with your female, please fill out the online Breeding Information Form which can be found here: https://www.highlandpethospital.net/breeding-information-f…/
When you bring your pet to Highland Pet Hospital for any service or exam, we ask that you remain in your car on your arrival. After you have safely parked (do not park on the grass to the left of the parking lot) please call us at 863-644-6634 and one of our care team members will meet you at your vehicle to escort your pet into the hospital. Please rest assured that we will provide the same compassionate, quality care that we have for the past 30+ years.
So that we can communicate with you while your pet is being examined, we strongly recommend that you download our airvet app for your smartphone. The airvet app will allow you to speak directly with your veterinarian while your pet’s examination is taking place. It also has a video feature, where you will be able to see your pet in the exam room. The airvet app is free and available for both Apple and Android smartphones. If you do not have a smartphone, but have a standard cell phone, we can speak with you by phone during the appointment.
Here’s a short video on how to download the AirVet app and register as a user.
If your pet requires a prescription refill, or needs a prescription diet please consider using our online store:

All of the prescription diets available at Highland Pet Hospital are also available in the online store. If your pet’s prescription medication is not available through the store, please call us- and we will fill the prescription in house for you to pick up.
If you need to pick up your prescription food or medications, please call us in advance so we may prepare your items. We will call you to let you know when they are ready to be picked up. When you arrive at the hospital, please remain in your vehicle. Call us to let us know you’ve arrived and one of our smiling team members will deliver your order to your car.
We are following the recommendations set forth by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Florida Medical Veterinary Association (FVMA) directing veterinary hospitals to delay or postpone elective procedures that may not be medically necessary.
We thank you for your continued loyalty and patronage for the past 30+ years. We will get through this together!
